If you are entered in a tournament, please make sure that you have read the KGS tournament guide.
This is the formal division of the sixteenth KGS Computer Go Tournament.
It is open only to Go-playing programs, known as "bots"; and even for bots, there are restrictions on entry to this formal division. There is also an open division.
It will use 9x9 boards, Chinese rules, and absolute time of 13 minutes each.
To enter, please read and follow the instructions at http://www.weddslist.com/kgs/how/index.html. Note this new rule about game-end disputes.
The rules are given at http://www.weddslist.com/kgs/rules.html. Pay particular attention to the requirements for entry to this formal division. If you cannot meet these requirements, you may still be able to enter the open division.
The schedule should be convenient for Americans and Europeans. I hope that Asians, New Zealanders, and others will also compete, leaving their bots connected and running overnight. KGS Computer Go Tournaments have a variety of schedules, to suit all timezones.
Swiss style, Simultaneous Schedule.
There is no prize.
