March KGS Plus Tournament, Asian/European daytime, Open division (Winner: Vortex)

Welcome to the March KGS Plus tournament! This is a tournament with slow time controls, 5 rounds played on two days with two hours per round (40 minutes plus 5 byo yomi periods for each player). The open divisions are open to all ranks, games are played even regardless of the ratings. Enjoy!

50 non-KGS Plus members per division will be allowed to the asian division, 20 to the European one. KGS Plus members are always welcome.

IMPORTANT: you are allowed to attend only one of the two divisions and are expected to use your strongest account on KGS. Contact the user "glue" if your KGS Plus account is not your strongest account.

Swiss style, Simultaneous Schedule.


  1. The winner of the American/European division gets 1 free month of KGS Plus and one free korean-style insei league place for a month.
  2. The winner of the Asian/European division gets 1 free months of KGS Plus and a $36 gift certificate from Kiseido.
  3. The 2nd player of each division wins 1 free months of KGS Plus and a teaching game with a teacher from the AyGoSchool. People who have previously won the AyGoSchool teaching game twice are not eligible for the teaching game.
  4. The 3rd player of each division gets 1 free months of KGS Plus and a $18 gift certificate from Kiseido.
  5. Any undefeated players who didn't win one of the above prizes get 1 free month of KGS Plus.
  6. Each round, 1 week of free KGS Plus will be awarded at random.
