April KGS Plus Tournament, Division 1 (Winner: laole)

Welcome to the first official McMahon tournament on KGS Plus! There are several things done differently this time:
- Because this is McMahon, we do not have the usual divisions. You have to be seeded near the top to be able to win the main prize (the Feng Yun lesson), but players of any rank will have a chance to win the 1 month subscription extension.
- The main prize is a game and review from Feng Yun instead of a Kiseido gift certificate. This is meant to make the tournament more interesting to strong players.
- As an experiment, the first 25 non-KGS-Plus players to try to sign up will be able to enter the tournament. All KGS Plus members who want to enter the tournament are guaranteed to be able to join. Non-KGS Plus members are not eligible for the top prize, but they can still compete for the free KGS Plus subscriptions. This is to try to make the tournament more interesting by adding more players. Note: If both divisions fill up with the 25 "free" players, then I will start pulling out non-members who entered both divisions from whichever division is more crowded. Please enter only one division, to make sure that you get to play in the one that you prefer. As always KGS Plus members can enter both divisions if they wish (but they will still only get one prize).

Prizes
- The highest-scoring KGS Plus player in each division will have a playoff; the winner of that playoff gets a free game against Feng Yun 9 dan pro, which she will review afterwards as a KGS Plus lesson.
- Anybody who wins all 4 rounds gets a 1 month free KGS Plus membership.
- Anybody who plays in all 4 rounds gets a 1 week free KGS Plus membership.
To be totally clear: Only players who were subscribed to KGS Plus before this tournament are eligible to win the top prize (the Feng Yun lesson). Anybody, whether KGS Plus or not, is eligible to win the free KGS Plus memberships. If you already have KGS Plus, the membership will be added to your current subscription; if you do not have a KGS Plus membership yet, then you will get the membership immediately after the tournament ends.
