September 3-weeks KGS Plus Tournament, European/American daytime open division (Winner: LiquidH20)

Welcome to this new kind of tournament: it lasts 3 weeks, one game every day. You can skip up to 15 rounds, so even if you can only play one week, you can still participate in this tournament! But of course, playing in more rounds than the minimum of 5 will give you a better final position - as long as you manage to win the extra rounds that you play in!

Some non-KGS Plus members will be allowed (50 per open division, 20 per handicap division). KGS Plus members are always welcome.

To choose which rounds you sit out, click on the link to the right where you sign up for byes. If you are on the server when a round starts, and you haven't requested a bye, then you must play in the round or take a loss.

IMPORTANT: you are allowed to attend only one division (out of the 4 ones) and are expected to use your strongest account on KGS.

Prizes

  1. The winners of the american/european divisions will get a teaching game with a teacher from the AyGoSchool.
  2. The winners of the asian divisions will get a 6-months Go4Go account.
  3. The 4 players with the most wins (no matter how many games they played) will each receive a $15 gift certificate from Kiseido. There are only 4 of these prizes total for the tournament, not 4 per division. The winner of each division will not be counted here.
  4. All the above players will also get 1 month of free KGS Plus
  5. The 10 players who were in the most games will each get 1 week of KGS Plus. Again, 10 will be handed out over the whole tournament. Players who already won a prize in the tournament will not be counted here.
